Everything about Alejandro González Iñárritu's Birdman is thrilling: the performances, music and the one-take approach its visuals. The brilliance of the movie's plot and structure can only be surpassed by the brilliance of the actors in the movie. A big, bold movie, the kind that takes aesthetic and thematic risks, and that grabs you from frame one and practically screams at you to pay attention. You can't help liking the mind or minds that thought the film up; you wouldn't want to close it; and you can bet money on seeing Michael Keaton, here in blisteringly inventive form, in the Best Actor suspects' line-up on Oscar night. He has two young children, Jem and Scout.

In general, Birdman is entertaining (Keaton and Norton are both excellent), although somewhat overheated. This movie is masterfully directed by the incredibly talented Alejandro G. Iñárritu who puts his heart and soul into everything he does.
