His first solo album was excellent, I loved it straight away, it still had a lot of "System-esque" feel about it. Gate 21 and Left of Center are the only tracks I listen to as the other tracks are just boring. I don't know what to consider this genre of music he's going for but it is different than his other album Elect the Dead. I fear fans of SOAD may be slightly disappointed with this album, but this isn't fair and Serj solo is a different beast to Serj with System and this album needs to be appreciated away from comparisons to his past body of work with his band.
