Convoy Street in San Diego had so many delicious places to eat, but Tasty Noodle House is one of my new favorites. The food is Shanghai style food, and went when it first opened so the service was good. Service was excellent. The service is atrocious. Total cost was $50. We follow with...beef in bean sauce, a flavourful favourite. Sounding like an ingrate I must confess that even the free appetizer jelly fish lacked salt/taste.

I did look at other pictures that others had posted on Yelp and it seems that their XLBs don't look as dry as mine did, so the chef may have overcooked my batch of XLB.- Eggplant & mushroom with basil: LOVE this! Both are located adjacent to busier BBQ and Shabu-shabu restaurants in a busy mall with patience-taxing parking. Some other dishes, such as the jia jang mien at the tables on either side of us, looked terrific.
The prices were very reasonable and affordable. The xlb (comes in 8) is also delicious and tender.
Everything delish and fresh ingredients. Craving for Chinese food, we've tried a lot near the vicinity so we decided to go to here while scanning the Menu, the "spicy stinky tofu" got my attention, at first I was hesitant to order it but then I...had to courage to have it. ZEER, zeer goed eten.
The portions are generous and they always seem to give us an appetizer for free, for mysterious reasons. XLB- It had a lil pork-y aftertaste that i did not care too much for. Everything was fresh and very tasty. Putting it all together, however, it was a very good meal that we all enjoyed. There are other dishes better than the sheng jian bao (grilled pork buns)!Tbh Im whatevers about sheng jian bao and came here for the scallion noodle (cong you ban mian) cuz this is the only place in the area that has it. All menu choices good and fresh. Some reviews have compared it to Din Tai Fung, but as much as we liked Tasty Noodle House, those comparisons don't seem to stack up. Andere partij had het varkensvlees en rijst en zei dat het was heerlijk....Zou aanraden voor dineren in of meenemen. Which is very similar to ramen. Both were very good. There are so many little restaurants in the area that parking can be impossible in the evenings and a nightmare on the weekends. Food wise, I loved the hot sour soup and the grilled pork buns. Get quick answers from Tasty Noodle House staff and past visitors. Even though it is named "spicy" it is just a hint of spiciness.

The item on the menu is a plate version with rice but you can request them to make it an entire entrée and just order some rice on the side. Overall very traditional shanghai food that is rare to find in the convoy area - 100% recommend!

I recommend this place a "Must" visit when you go to Cerritos. Finding a parking spot was a challenge for a Saturday night so give yourself time for that.
I've come multiple times pre COVID and the food is always fresh and comes super fast. We ordered Xiao Long Bao, string bean house sauce, Shanghai grilled pork bun, Yeung Chow fried rice, shrimp noodle soup, ginger scallion beef noodles, and salt pepper pork chop. The bun was nicely browned on the bottom and cooked thoroughly while still being pillowy soft on the inside. We will come back againMore, We were headed for Panera for lunch but parked in front of this place and decided it sounded better. They have yummy XLBs and Shanghai fried buns which are the two most popular items on the menu. On this first visit here based on recommendation of our friends, we arrived on a Saturday morning just as restaurant opened at 11am.
